This year, 2021, we may be getting back to business but not all is business as usual.
Supply chains and shipping are showing increasing strain and delays, specifically cargo container shortages and port congestion have driven up shipping costs. Within the continental U.S. fluctuating trucking costs are also rocking the country.
This of course has considerable effect not only on retail pricing but also availability on many products.
Over the past year, ocean cargo prices have skyrocketed up to 4 times the amount they previously were. This has in turn caused multiple pricing increases for materials sourced from global markets.
PRO Aggregate is experiencing supply disruptions and price increases with some products. We will update this information as we progress through these economic and global challenges.
- Stone Universe- our supplier of natural stone materials from India and Turkey is experiencing multiple disruptions. These products may be out of stock for the bulk of 2021. Our website will label products that may be temporarily unavailable this season.
- Some suppliers of geo-textile materials such as weed fabric, are experiencing supply challenges on manufactured goods sourced from China. We have been able to maintain stock of most sizes of these products and expect any shortages to be temporary.
- Stone Materials sourced from U.S. quarries and suppliers are recovering from 2020 production shut down and current labor shortages, however we are on track to be receiving loads of product in May, June and July.
- Garden accents and statuary may also have interrupted distribution though currently we are well stocked on most products.
